WHAT IS T1D TO THE THIRD?

T1D To The Third is an accepting support group for type one diabetics around the world. Through our Zoom calls (divided by age group), diabetics are able to play games and have fun with each other in a group setting. Everything we do is founded on our core belief that no one should ever feel they are alone. our commitment is to provide a safe space for sharing, listening, learning, and supporting each other, all while connecting you with lifelong friends and resources.

HOW DO I JOIN A MEETING FOR THE FIRST TIME?

Around 24 hours before the call, we will email out a Zoom link. Please keep this handy for the call! If you don't receive a link by 6 hours before the call, please reach out to us as soon as possible.

HOW DO I DECIDE WHAT MEETING IS RIGHT FOR ME?

We have three different age groups: youth (4-8), preteen (9-12), and teen (13-28). We recommend that you start with the appropriate age group for yourself/your child, as we target each meeting specifically towards that age range. If you're interested in sizing up or down but aren't certain if it will be a good fit for you, don't hesitate to reach out!

CAN I GO TO A DIFFERENT AGE GROUP THAN THE ONE THAT I'M IN?

We strongly recommend that when first joining a T1D To The Third meeting that you go to the one designated for your/your child's age group and are always here to discuss the options we provide with you. If you think that sizing up or down in age groups is the right choice for you, feel free to sign up for another group's meetings, regardless of whether you are that age or not.

I SIGNED UP, WHEN WILL I RECEIVE THE ZOOM LINK?

Around 24 hours before each call, we email all people who have registered the Zoom link. We will also close off sign ups then as well. If you didn't sign up in time, there is no way that you can receive the Zoom link for that specific meeting. if you signed up and haven't received the link by 6 hours before the call, please check your spam/junk folder to make sure it wasn't sent there. If you still haven't received one, please reach out to us as soon as possible.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE ON EACH ZOOM?

We want our Zooms to be open and available to as many people as possible, and try to not impose a limit when there are other ways we can get around it. Sometimes, though, we do have a maximum number of sign ups for each call. In many of those cases we try to have a different time slot set up as well, so that everyone who wants to attend is able to. Generally, there are around 20-30 attendees in each call, allowing us to give attention to everyone.

I SEE THAT YOU POST VIDEOS AND IMAGES OF ATTENDEES, WHAT IF IM NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THAT?

When signing up for a T1D To The Third meeting, you are consenting to us recording the zoom and using it as we see fit for strictly promotional purposes. If there are excruciating circumstances, please reach out to us before the call so we can reach a resolution that everyone is happy with.

IM A DIABETIC THAT NEEDS SUPPORT/I HAVE A DIABETIC THAT NEEDS SUPPORT, WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

Our Zooms are meant to be a safe space for diabetics to connect with each other, so we generally have a balance between having fun and discussing diabetes-related topics. If you are someone or know someone who would like additional support, please reach out to us so that we can help in any way we can.
